Rosemary Oil And Hair Growth - Benefits And Uses

hair oils for hair growth

When a mention of rosemary oil is made, it would be natural for your mind to wander to just how right this makes your potatoes and lamb (roasted, of course) taste. However, that is not the only thing that the organic oil can do for you.

Over the years, there have been various discoveries to mark the importance of rosemary oil over other synthesized products, and it has stood its ground.  There have been verified claims on the use of this natural oil for purposes such as soothing of digestive cases, muscle relief and improvement of memory. However, of recent, rosemary oil joined the league of such natural supplements that improve the state and health of both skin and hair.

This newfound use has also been verified, so much that the oil can now be found as an essential ingredient in a lot of skin and haircare products on the market today. According to those that have given their testimonies – all of which have, of course, been vetted for truth – they have been able to repair hair damage, reduce thinning of hair, control dry and oily scalp conditions and so much more, all by using the rosemary oil. Some of the things that makes the organic supplement a great choice includes, but is not limited to

    •    Antioxidants
Due to the increased cases of pollution, a lot of which has impacts on the health of our hair and skin, we need to have enough antioxidants to combat this problem. It has been medically proven that the amount of antioxidant in rosemary oil – which is even more than the quantity which can be found in the likes of thyme, peppermint, and spearmint – is at an optimal level. That being said, rosemary oil can prevent hair loss, combat the effects of harsh chemicals being used on the hair and make the hair grow even faster.

    •     Antibacterial
Rosemary oil comes with its original provision for antimicrobial action. Not only would the oil guard against the occurrences of infections which emanates from the presence of bacteria, but it is also more than capable of eliminating threats from other dangerous microbes too. With rosemary oil, the user can kiss problems such as dandruff, scalp acne, and flaky scalp goodbye.

    •    Prevents oiliness
One of the problems with an oily scalp is that it can quickly catch, and retain dust and dirt particles. This would lead to the blockage of the hair follicles, which could, in turn, cause the incidence of infections and limitations in hair growth. Rosemary oil would loosen up the hair follicles, restore balance to the oil production in the scalp and give way for an overall healthy hair and scalp.

Rosemary oil is that useful. The same oil acts as a stimulant for hair growth and prevents inflammation, to mention but a few more. Now that we have established its importance, let’s take a look at how you can make use of this organic option to improve the health of your hair too.

    •    Shampooing
For the daily shampooing of your hair, add about ten to twelve drops of the oil in every ounce of your favorite shampoo or conditioner. Apply to your hair generously, and in the same way, you would shampoo in the mornings

    •    Massage
For a massage session, add three to four drops of the rosemary oil into a carrier oil of your choice and massage it gently into the hair. Leave for about 30 minutes before you wash it off. This would help in the stimulation of new hair growth.

    •    Hot Oil Treatment
While anyone can go for this, it is usually recommended for those with a naturally dry scalp. You would need to mix a few spoonsful of rosemary oil with your favorite carrier oil, after which you seal the mixture in a bottle and allow it warm. You could warm the content of the container by placing it in a pot of water and gently heating the pan. When you have achieved the desired temperature, massage the oil into your hair and scalp. Afterwards, cover it up with a damp, warm towel.
As soon as the towel becomes cold, replace with another warm one. Allow this to stand for anywhere between 30 – 45 minutes before you wash it off with a (chemical-free) shampoo.

Rosemary oil is a holy grail in the organic hair care industry. From the prevention of hair problems to the repair of hair faults, it can address them all. Probably the best thing about the solution is that it is all natural, so that is amazing.
